Harley-Davidson Softail description

this has been my baby for several years now. I can go on and on about what's been done, but the main thing is this is a great bike-no issues-no leaks- runs-runs-and runs some more.i recently took it on a 700 mile 2 day ride and it performs like a champ.buy with total confidence!

1998 heritage springer- the motor has had the heads ported and polished.stock internals.super g carb.power tube.ev 27 cam.barnett clutches. oil and primary have 700 miles on them. from the front- high intensity blue headlamp, apehangers on risers, chrome switch cover housings, custom grips, braided lines, custom gascaps, pringle petcock, chrome inner primary, vance and hines longshots, led tombstone taillight. white bros lowering kit, custom bolt and axle covers, leather center console with phone pouch, custom tank emblems, two tone custom paint. seat is stock heritage springer and it does include a rear pad, bike runs excellent-very strong.

the negatives-a pencil tip size chip in bthe rear fender from swinging my leg over, and the odometer is readable but factory digital and the background has bled. botth odo and trip work.

the reason i'm selling this bike is lack of use- i'm a single dad raising 3 kids- now that the older two are off to their perspective goals I have no one to leave my 10 year-old entrusted too. last year I rode alittle over 1000 miles and this year 1 trip of 700 miles in august. this bike has been great- never gave me a minute of trouble- no leaks. everyone loves it-it's like the 57 chevy of motorcycles- has that old school look- but evo dependability. evo has been the best motor Harley made-cheap to make it run fast and ez to work on. I only want to sell it once- so don't bid unless you're 100% sure you can pay- thx barnzfull

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
