Harley-Davidson Softail description

Up for bid is my 1995 Harley Davidson Fatboy. As you can see there is not much left of the stock bike. This Harley is Big, Fast and Loud! This bike is Not for beginners,
-  Here is a list of some of the mods and work done to the bike.
- '95 Harley Fatboy frame.. Professionally raked. Goes down the road perfect!
- Baker 300 tire kit with RSD Baker 6 spd trans.
- Ultima El Bruto 120" polished engine 130hp, 135 ft/lbs tq, motor has compression releases for easier starting with the big motor.
- BDL  top fuel open primary with custom cover.
- Forge-Tech Nomad wheels 18x3.5" and 18x10.5" with matching pullies and rotors.
- Tires are in great shape.
- 20" Carlini Flyin Apes. There are two additional sets of bars that go with the bike. One is a set of genuine Harley 14" apes with risers. I also have a set of drag bars with braided lines and cables to put on if you prefer the pro street look.
- Bike is lowered a lot, giving it a rigid look with softail ride.
- Arlen Ness grips and pegs
- custom stitched seat to mimic the paint job.
- $3500 custom paint
- Rear tail light and turn signals built (flushed) into the rear fender with LED's
- Red LED lights under the tank light the bike up at night with the flip of a switch
- Bike also has a brake light and custom plate holder on the back of the primary.
- Custom built stepped exhaust
- Just about everything on this bike has been replaced with custom or better than stock parts. The only bad things on the bike are, horn doesn't work(maybe just the relay) never really looked into it. The back brakes need pads and there is a small knick in there at of the seat, about a finger tip long. Seat must've been dropped.
- Way too much to list!!!
- I have a book of receipts (over $40k) that go with the bike, showing all the work and time that has gone into this monster.
- Pictures do not do this bike justice..
- This bike is show quality and is every day rideable. I have too many other projects and could use the money elsewhere. I don't ride much anymore and don't want to see the bike sitting in the garage. If you are local and would like to check the bike out I have No problem with that. This bike was basically rebuilt from 2005-2008.  This is an original '95 Harley frame and title, So no problems with registration and Insurance. It is currently titled, registered and insured in NJ.
- Please ask your wife, girlfriend, Mom, Dad  loan officer or anyone else you have to before bidding.
- The bike is for sale locally so I may end the auction early if I get a good offer.
- This is your chance to own one of the Baddest motorcycles on the streets! Make a reasonable offer or possible trade? Trade value is $15,000. I like fast cars/trucks, old cars, lifted or lowered trucks. Basically anything interesting as long as the value is right, or have the cash to put on top. If your trade is worth more than my bike I can add cash on top. Please save your $8,000 offers as they will be ignored. The bike is way too nice and I'll let it sit if it doesn't sell. I don't need the money, just looking for something different or put the cash toward other projects. Thanks for looking!

Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...

Harley-Davidson Tops 2013 Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index

Harley-Davidson dealers outscored dealers from other brands to take the top spot in the Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index U.S. Motorcycle Industry Study for the second consecutive year. The annual study measures the effectiveness of motorcycle dealerships, rating them on how they perform in different categories, such as inviting customers to sit on a floor model, offering demo rides and asking for a customer’s contact information.

Book Release: Who is the Real Hog?

Bob Michel is a motorcycle industry veteran of almost 30 years, and like many career motorcycle folks, he has stories to tell. His credentials include 14 years with Harley-Davidson, culminating with his role as manager of dealer facilities planning. Naturally, when it was time to move on to other adventures, he chose to capitalize on his sales experience by becoming a partner and vice president of a Milwaukee dealership franchise.
