Harley-Davidson Softail description

HISTORY: I originally bought this bike from an Easyriders Shop in New Hampshire in February 1997. Since then, as most Harley owners do, I have changed the look of the bike three of 4 times. 2 Yrs ago I decided to strip the bike down to the frame, swing arm and front end and build it back up. As you can see from the parts list below I pre-owned nothing but the best parts and spared no expense. ADVANTAGE OF THIS BIKE: What makes this bike different from most customized bikes is that I HAVE NOT changed the basic engineering of the bike. Harley hasnt spent millions of dollars on the engineering of their bikes for nothing!!! This bike rides just as if it were rolled out of the showroom floor. You will not have problems with handling, turning radius or performance like some bikes that are custom rides. (e.g. fat tire with wide swing arm, raked front end, etc) PARTS LIST: S and S 96ci Engine - Natural Finish Baker 5 Gear Transmission Pro Clutch Custom Paint - Harley Candy Apple Red w/Silver Flames Weld Custom Sawblade Wheels Arlen Ness Billeted Custom Headlamp JB Chrome Extended Forwarded Controls w/ Matching Passenger Pegs Custom Sheet Metal - Stretched Tanks, Drop Down Front Fender and ½ Curb Dragger Rear Fender Arlen Ness Dash - Painted Candy Red Dakota Digital Gauge LaPera Seat w/Pillion Passenger Seat Chubba Bars - sixteen Ape Hangers w/Coated Braided Lines Chrome Handle Bar Control Covers Harley Davidson Teardrop Mirrors JB Chrome Grips Coated Stainless Cables Throughout the engine Spike 2amp Starter Matching Painted Oil Tank w/Flames Harley Davidson Chrome Swing Arm Joker LED Side Mounted Brake Light/License Plate. New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.

Harley-Davidson Reports Q3 2012 Results

Tue, 23 Oct 2012

Harley-Davidson reported a profit of $134.0 million dollars over the third quarter of 2012. That represents a 27% decrease from the net profit of $183.6 million reported over the same quarter of 2011, but the drop was an expected result from a planned decrease in third quarter shipments as Harley-Davidson adopts an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) manufacturing system at its York, Pa., factory. The Milwaukee company shipped 52,793 motorcycles in the three months ended Sept.

Founded in 1919, many famous Italian racers got their starts on Garelli motorcycles.
