Runs/ drives excellent This is a NO RESERVE auction This is a very nice example of a very good condition, custom softail 1340 EVO including numbers matching frame and engine. Original numbers matching frame and 80" EVO motor. Motor is electric start. Bike has just under 42k Original miles w/ no rebuilds. and has been flawlessly maintained its whole life.drive this bike anywhere. Very nice example of a classic softail setup. Isn't perfect, but close. Has a very nice 3 tone custom paint job(see pics). All gauges/ electronics are in good working order, Lots of custom and aftermarket parts NEW/ AFTERMARKET PARTS
Starts up every time w/ 1-2 cranks tops.Has the original CV carb Brakes are in excellent condition.both front and rear tires have 80% tread left. Wideglide front end w/ 21"twisted spoke rim Engine doesnt smoke and has very good compression w/ engine/ trans have no leaks.Bike comes with brand new front master cylinder(one currently on bike broke when being transported).also needs a battery and hand grips. Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed
Thu, 04 Aug 2011The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.

Fri, 04 Oct 2013On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.
