2010 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead , Bobber style bike i built started in 2006 finished 2010. 1979 Shovelhead engine built and stroked to 93ci. Springer frontend. 5sp in 4sp case with kicker is electric start. 3in open primary by BDL. Black and cream color spoked wheels mild apehanger bars. Very light and quick. Bike has not been inspected by state yet. Have ALL receipts and Statements of origin for frame, tranny and motor. Have receipt for engine build as well. It’s probably not conducive for sleeping in heavenly peace, but Harley-Davidson has released a Christmas-themed ad with the song “Silent Night” performed by the revving V-Twin engine of a Softail Breakout. Titled “The Sound of the Festive Season”, the ad spot was produced by U.K agency Big Communications for Harley-Davidson Europe Middle East and Africa. According to AdWeek, the ad was conceived, sold and produced in just 72 hours.

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.

Forbes Expects Harley-Davidson to Announce Gains for Q3 2011

In anticipation of Harley-Davidson announcing its third-quarter performance in 2011 Forbes.com expects Harley will reveal its third straight quarter of sales growth. The article says that financial analysts expect “earnings of $0.76 per share, up 47.4% from the same quarter of last year.” Additionally, an 18.8% gain in revenues is expected. Interestingly, the article refers to Harley’s motorcycles as “luxury items,” and as such sees Harley’s increased sales and profit as a possible harbinger of an improving U.S.
