This early XR 750 race frame had a high tech street track build done likely between 1977-79. I just took a healthy XR 750 engine out of this street tracker. A sportster engine, or XR 750 engine can be re-installed. I did leave the XR 750 flat side carburetors that are in great condition with the chassis. (The carbs are taped on the handlebars). The intake manifold for the XR 750 is included. A box of extra parts- foot pegs and small engine nuts and bolts. This was a running, riding motorcycle when disassembled recently. Some of the components are extremely rare, including Grimeka brakes. Period high-tech forks, and XR 750 tank. I'm not sure of the manufacturer for the rear wheel hub, but it is a high quality, knock off hub which has the Grimeka brake. The single shock absorber looks to be in excellent condition.
This street tracker has very little time on its build, as it has been laying in storage since 1977 or 78, until last year. Clear Title. No shipping, Chassis must be picked up at the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Any questions call Dale directly at 828.734.9222. |

Michael Jackson in Speed Demon [video]
Fri, 26 Jun 2009Michael Jackson was not known for riding motorcycles, he did own a 2001 Harley-Davidson that was on the action block earlier this year that was listed for $6,000 – $8,000, I never heard if it was sold or not. We all have our different opinions about the mega pop star but we can all agree that he was larger than life and truly a boy in a mans body, case in point, take a look at the “Speed Demon” video that features Jackson on a bicycle, motorcycle and scooter, sort of… The “Speed Demon” video is available after the jump. 2011 Indy Mile Cancelled
Fri, 19 Aug 2011Indy Mile officials have decided to cancel this year’s AMA Flat Track round due to the continuing investigation into the fatal stage rigging accident at the Indiana State Fair. The Aug. 13 tragedy killed five people and injured dozens after winds reaching as high as 70 mph caused the stage to collapse.
2012 Harley-Davidson Dyna Switchback Revealed
Thu, 21 Jul 2011Harley-Davidson has revealed a new member to its Dyna family featuring quick change convertibility from touring to cruiser mode. As we expected, the new Harley-Davidson Dyna Switchback features hard saddlebags and fork-mounted windshield that can be removed quickly and without tools, allowing it to change from a touring motorcycle to a cruiser, and back again. The Dyna Switchback uses Harley-Davidson’s Twin Cam 103 engine, 2-into-1 chrome exhaust, and five-spoke cast aluminum wheels with full fenders.
