1968 HD FLH. Bike was totally disassembled, cleaned / repainted, rebuilt as needed and has been ridden approximately 900 miles since completion, not completely broken in yet. Bike has not been ridden much in the last 12 or so months. I did take it for a 15 mile ride today & it started right up & ran fine.

  • OEM trans was disassembled, cleaned & seals & bearings replaced. basic rebuild.
  • OEM frame, has no repairs. powder coated black.
  • OEM forks, with new seals.
  • All sheet metal is OEM. Repainted with original 1968 paint scheme. All emblems, fender trim, lights etc. are OEM.
  • Exhaust is all OEM except the S / Y pipe combo, its a Paughco replica, I've since found an OEM piece & will include it with the bike.
  • Instrument panel is OEM including the Speedo (was mechanically restored) & the ignition switch.
  • Bike was wired with a new replica wiring harness & everything works as its supposed to.
  • Total mileage on the bike is unknown.

I have clear Georgia Title in my name.

This bike is 45 years old & is being sold AS IS / WHERE IS with NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTY.

The buyer must pick up the bike in person or make their own shipping arrangements. I have used  www.keyboardmotorcycleshipping.com with good results in the past.

The bike must be paid for in full & funds verified before the bike and title will be released.

*** NOTE: DUE TO PRANKSTERS WHO LIKE TO BID THEN NOT PAY, ANY BUYER WITH LESS THAN 10 POSITIVE FEEDBACKS NEEDS TO CONTACT ME THROUGH EBAY BEFORE BIDDING, OTHERWISE I WILL CANCEL BIDS. ******

What am I gonna do with a gun rack?

Wed, 27 Jul 2011

Living in Shoreditch I come across a unique variety of motorcycles on the road; from XS650s, to classic Lambrettas and one completely brown jelly-mould CBR600. My favourite of the regular bikes I see is this Harley-Davidson badged Armstrong MT500. In my head I like to think that the owner operates as an urban vigilante, realistically whoever rides this ex-Army bike is probably an artist and instead of a weapon in the gun holder it's probably art equipment.

Barry Strang’s story is a tragic case of being careful what you wish for. Since they were newlyweds, Strang would ask his wife, Pam, if he could get a motorcycle. Fearful of the dangers involved, she said no.
