Harley-Davidson FXR description

Custom Harley-Davidson Dyna FXRS Low Rider Special. Title is 1989, engine is original, rest of bike custom built in 2005. 16,611 miles at time of posting (I still occasionally ride it). Recent carb rebuild, new spike air cleaner, transmission fluid recently changed, rear tire is only 1 year old, front tire almost 2 years. Both tires have plenty of tread. I absolutely love this bike and don't want to part with it but due to expecting a child soon it has to go. Bike also comes with a sissy bar rack that's not pictured.

Needs automatic tensioner spring/chain replaced, but is totally ride-able. I have the new springs and they will come with the bike. Also needs rear brake master replaced. Front brake operates fine.

Notable custom items:
- 6-speed Baker transmission
- Hydraulic racing clutch
- Vance & Hines 2-to-1 pipes
- Arlen Ness flame mirrors
- Rear fender and tire widened (tire is a 160)
- Ace of Spades linkage

Local pickup only, will not ship.

Harley’s Ed Krawiec is 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Champ

Mon, 14 Nov 2011

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Ed Krawiec is the 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion. Krawiec clinched the title with a second-round win at the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway that eliminated Lucas Oil Buell rider Hector Arana Jr., the only rider in the field with a chance to overtake Krawiec for the championship. Krawiec advanced to the final round and lost to his Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines teammate Andrew Hines, who finished the season third in points. More from Harley-Davidson on Krawiec’s win: “I think this is really a statement on the season, to end it with an all-Harley final and the championship, and with Willie G.

A Man of LOVE

Fri, 24 Oct 2008

I had a unique opportunity this week to sit down with Oliver Shokouh, the founder of the Love Ride, only days before the 25th anniversary of the purportedly largest one-day rally in the world, kicks-off this coming Sunday, October 26. First and foremost I’m very grateful for Oliver to set aside over half an hour of his precious time so close to the event. Not only does he head-up this massive event, he’s also busy running the very busy and successful Harley-Davidson/Buell of Glendale (California).

Cool Cycles Ice Cream

Mon, 20 Apr 2009

John Gibson had a vision 15 years ago to sell ice cream from a motorcycle sidecar, inspired while running as he listening to motivational guru, Tony Robins. After years of experimenting with different bikes and setups, including using the Russian made Ural (he once owned a Ural dealership), Gibson, finally settled on the Honda 750 Shadow and the Harley-Davidson 883 Sportster. The Cool Cycles Ice Cream Company is open for business, the headquarters are located in Tacoma, WA where they will start selling franchises within a 100 mile radius, the Los Angeles area will be next and Las Vegas to follow.
