he Ducati Superbike 848 EVO Corse SE is a sporty motorcycle developed to reward its rider with a rush of adrenaline and racing performances.The motorcycle’s performances are enhanced by the sophisticated Ducati-developed electronics housed in the DTC (Ducati Traction Control) and quick shifter (DQS) units. Moreover, the 848 Evo Corse SE is built on a strong Trellis frame which is combined with an Öhlins rear shock absorber and 330 mm Brembo brake discs. At the heart of the bike lies Ducati’s Testastretta L-Twin cylinder, 4 valve per cylinder Desmodromic, liquid cooled engine with a displacement of 849.4cc. The engine cranks out 140hp (103kw) @ 10,500rpm and 72.3lb-ft (98Nm) of torque @ 9,750rpm. The engine is paired with a super-efficient power unit exhausts equipped with a catalytic converter and 2 lambda probes to conform to Euro3 regulations. With its Corse colour scheme, the 848EVO is a racing dream come true. “Ducati Remains Ducati” Says Audi CEO

Audi AG Chief Executive Officer Rupert Stadler addressed Ducati‘s workforce in Bologna, Italy, for the first time to address his company’s impending acquisition of the motorcycle maker. Joined by members of Ducati‘s management including President and CEO Gabriele Del Torchio, as well as Thomas Sigi, Audi’s head of human resources, Stadler met with Ducati’s entire workforce of nearly 1000 people to discuss the future of the company. The address comes after the European Union granted its blessing to the acquisition.

Bernhard Gobmeier Replaces Filippo Preziosi as Head of Ducati Corse

Ducati has named Bernhard Gobmeier the new general manager of Ducati Corse, handing the former BMW Superbike racing director the reins to the company’s racing program. Gobmeier replaces Filippo Preziosi (pictured above) who will be reassigned to the post of director of research and development for Ducati, shifting his focus from racing to developing new products. The personnel change carries two storylines.

For 1199 Panigale to be eligble in Japan, Ducati have had to make it quieter by adding a longer exhaust and a different clutch cover to pass noise tests. The exhaust adds 4kg to the overall 164kg weight, it also requires a unique Japan-only engine mapping. Further dampening the sound is a plastic clutch cover that extends up to cover the rear cylinder.
