Boasting a dual seat and twin shocks, the Sport 1000 S lets you enjoy the Caf Racer style two-up. The bold color schemes are black with white stripe or red with white stripe, with both versions sporting black frames, wheels and exhaust systems to complete the classic picture. A removable tailpiece cover gives the Sport 1000 S the Caf Racer look, but when removed reveals a seat for your favorite passenger. DUCATI ROAD HOLDING The Sport 1000 S is built with quality throughout. Its confident road holding is thanks to its race-inspired Trellis frame and sport-tuned suspension. It uses high performance Marzocchi 43mm upside-down front forks with classic brushed aluminum surfaces, while rear suspension is handled by twin high performance fully adjustable Sachs shocks. The Sport 1000 S bristles with classic Caf Racer appeal, while still delivering the superior road holding and performance you expect from Ducati. Compare at $17k from Dealers online. New 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale Spy Photos

Mon, 26 Sep 2011

New spy photos have emerged giving the clearest look yet at the upcoming 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale. Uploaded by a user on the Ducati.ms forum, the photographs show the Ducati 1199 Panigale still with some camouflaging but the clarity of the images offer a good idea of the overall fairing design as well as a look at the underslung Termignoni exhaust. Of course, the Internet being what it is, the new spy photos have elicited comments about the test rider’s size, but as a larger rider myself, I find it’s a nice change to see how a motorcycle looks for different body types.

Ducati vs Ferrari

Mon, 22 Jun 2009

The first annual “Ducs Fly South” track day was announced by Ducati North America and will be held at the New Jersey Motorsports Park.  The event is open to street riders and will give the opportunity for you to work with instructors from The Penguin School on the track. Hit the jump for more info and a list of participating Ducati Dealers. Along with the tack experience, you will get a close-up look at the Ducati Hypermotard Truck which will be the home base for product giveaways, a ‘Best Bike’ contest, test rides, a suspension seminar and cold Red Bull.  Larry Pegram, the factory Ducati AMA Superbike rider will be available for autographs and a special question and answer session about his Ducati 1098R Superbikes.

GSX-R 600 gets Milan makeover

Wed, 08 Jun 2011

Think of bike bolt-ons, and you’ll probably think GSX-R with an iridium screen and blue anodized bar ends. So trust Italian company Rizoma to show us how to do it properly, subtly even. You only have to look at their GSX-R600 showcase bike to see how they do ‘bolt-on’.
