Ducati Monster description

I listed my bike two times already , please do not bid if you do not have cash in hand .

I dropped the price because on this Labor day  weekend I had some time to work on the bike and I tried to wet sand a gastank  and I realized it better to be painted again.

I really do not have time to play with it anymore and I have no place to keep the bike so I want to get rid of it as soon as I can.

My starting price is the reserve price so any bid will take the bike. After two week under bike cover  the bike started right away, so no mechanical issues with the bike !!!

Ebay  listing is way too high so it will be the last time I am listing here . So if you want it take it now or I will part it out and sell it in pieces in this winter .

The last picture from the gastank will indicates the condition of the paint job after I wet sanded.

Thank you and good luck with bidding.

For sale my 1999 monster 750 .
Totally customized and transformed to a cafe fighter .I named the bike to
THE CREATURE#1
I bought the bike to modify it to a unique café racer but because of my job , and because of the limited storage space I do not have time to finish it. I hope someone out who can enjoy it .
I am a ducati fan. ( I still have two more ducs. so before I fall in love to this one its time to go)
The bike has an original 5000 mile ( I have the oem cluster )
I am a carpenter so this is not a professionally built bike but its above the basic modification level. You wont see an other like this nowhere.
Tail chopped and the frame plugs converted to LED turn signals .

It has new
-belt
- sprockets 14-41
- chain
-cnc levers
-cnc rear set
- fuel line
-fuel filter
- danmoto gauges
- complete front end with wheel and brake set from a 2012 696   monster
- new headlight
-café racer tail light
-cnc clip-ons with raiser.
-cnc rear and front brake reservoirs
- Brand new Pirelli Angel SOft tires
- CNC grips .......
- Hypermotard  oilcooler.....

The tail section molded and built from fiberglass ,and totally unique .
( No other like this on the entire world )
-Custom seat (brand new ). ( Only for one person - no passengers)
I am sure I forget few things , but the pictures are talks themself I guess.

The bad :
Its still not done, it need front and rear brake job done . Everything there but needs to  fill  and bleed with fluids
The paint job is home made used good paint but especially the gastank needs wet sand and few layer of clear coats.
The Entire engine painted with high heat black paint first , than the cylinders got also high heat gold (VHT) .After a few ride the gold started to peel around the header . So basically( I just realized)    because I did not baked the paint as I should it never cured perfectly . So sooner or later the entire engine will be one color (black )

Other wise the bike rideable. Since its almost done I put 10 miles in it. But I wont let anyone to ride it because of no brakes .I will ride it front of you but I will not let you drive SORRY.
Clutch perfect , shifter shifts nicely and smoothly. Engine does not smoke. The bike is light weight as a bicycle so basically good for beginners as well ,but at the same time its powerful.
The bike has a clean NY state title so it can be registered in any state.
Any question feel free to ask.

I still have all the original parts for an extra fee I could give it to a new owner.
(forks, wheel , complete front brake , headlight , lights ,cluster........ ,
Do not ask me how much I put in to this project I really do not want to know.

Any question or offer please text only to seven3two six8five 24nine2

PS: I GOT SO MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT SEAT HIGHTS .IT IS JUST A VISUAL EFFECT  ITS NOT TALLER THAN THE NEW GENERATION OF MONSTERS GROUND CLEARANCE.

      IT IS 33 inches .

Moto2 needs more radical bikes

Wed, 05 Sep 2012

Makers of fine exhausts, Taylormade Racing have built a Moto2 racer that harks back to the innovative machines like the Elf Honda 500 and Britten V1000. Since Moto2's inception in 2010 the class has featured bikes with conventional chassis but the Taylormade bike, designed by Paul Taylor and John Keogh, has a radical design featuring a carbon-fibre monocoque frame, carbon-fibre swingarm, wishbone monoshock front suspension and an under-seat radiator. However, with such radical engineering the inherent problem is that it is a risk for teams to invest in such a project.

Audi Announces Ducati Q2 2013 Sales Results

Fri, 02 Aug 2013

Ducati sold 26,007 motorcycles over the first six months of 2013, a 4.8% decrease from the 27,316 units sold over the same period in 2012. Last year’s numbers however were on the books for Ducati’s previous ownership and the latest figures represent the first report for the period under Audi ownership. According to Audi’s second quarter report, Ducati’s sales decrease actually fared better than the worldwide demand for 500cc and larger motorcycles which contracted by 6.9% over the first six months of the year.

Rain Puts a Damper on Ducati MotoGP Test

Wed, 29 Feb 2012

Wet conditions limited Ducati factory riders Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden to just 18 laps each on the second of three days of MotoGP testing in Malaysia. Though there is a lot of work to be done for Ducati to be competitive, the heavy rainfall plus Hayden’s still-recovering shoulder limited track time for both riders. They used what time they did have to work on the Ducati Desmosedici GP12‘s electronics including new traction control software.
