Ducati Island Returning to Indianapolis Motor Speedway

The Ducati Island is back with a new layout for the 2011 Indianapolis Grand Prix, Aug. 26-28. Located between turns two and three of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway circuit, the Ducati Island offers a number of attractions including Ducati fashion shows and technical demonstrations from the Ducati Service team and Öhlins representatives.

Rain Puts a Damper on Ducati MotoGP Test

Wet conditions limited Ducati factory riders Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden to just 18 laps each on the second of three days of MotoGP testing in Malaysia. Though there is a lot of work to be done for Ducati to be competitive, the heavy rainfall plus Hayden’s still-recovering shoulder limited track time for both riders. The Frenchman crashed during qualifying after hitting oil and water spilled on track by Jorge Lorenzo's Fiat Yamaha, after it spewed its guts along almost the entire length of the start finished straight. Following the crash De Puniet was whisked away on a stretcher with a suspected broken foot.
