Can-Am SPYDER description

You are looking at a 2009 Can-Am Spyder. It's the SM-5 model, which basically means that it's a 5 speed manual transmission with reverse.  This bike is as clean as it gets. It has 3,698 original miles!! The bike also comes with a load of Can-Am factory upgrades such as upgraded wheels (rims), tank guard, cruiser windshield, hindle exhaust, comfort seat, upgraded driver foot pegs and brake pedal, DC power outlet in front compartment, wrist throttle and adjustable passenger backrest. These are not aftermarket knockoffs, but genuine Can-Am parts.

I'm the second owner of the Spyder and purchased the bike from a dealer nearly 4 hours away in upstate New York (these things are tough to find in central pa!). I loved the idea of owning a Spyder, as they are much more stable than a traditional motorcycle and are seen more easily by other drivers. The problem is, I just don't ride it (hence the low miles). I purchased a new truck and am looking forward to some space in the garage and some cash back in my pocket to supplement the purchase of the truck.

The bike is in great shape and sounds awesome. The upgraded hindle exhaust is a must have in my opinion. Not obnoxiously loud, but definitely makes you aware that you're pushing nearly 1,000cc's. You'd be hard pressed to find a cleaner 2009 out there and with these options and mileage makes this a pretty attractive package.

I've noticed that the asking prices on these things vary wildly between, year, options and mileage. I've priced the bike comparatively and competitively between what else is out there with similar miles and options. That's why i'm offering with a buy it now price or best offer. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. Thank you.

Will The Bombardier Trailtrike Make Trikes Cool?

Thu, 11 Jul 2013

Charles Bombardier, creator of the highly controversial Can-Am Spyder and grandson of the man who invented the snowmobile, thinks he has an idea to make trikes cool. It’s a tall order, considering most motorcycling circles banish three-wheelers as some kind of second class device, not worthy of mingling with true two wheelers. While Bombardier’s Trailtrike still has two wheels in front and one in back, he tells Popular Science the difference is that the Trailtrike can be ridden both on- and off-road.
