Can-Am SPYDER RT LIMITED description
For sale is a beautiful 2014 Can Am Spyder RT Limited with semi-automatic transmission, reverse, and only 3050 miles. This was purchased exactly 2 years ago at a cost of over $30,000. If you have been in the market for a Can Am, know that there is a big difference between the 2013 and 2014. The biggest changes are greatly increased power and torque, even in the Economy mode. Range has increased on a tank of gas from 100 miles to 170 miles. A huge complaint for 2013 and older models was the placement of the radiators and all the heat they generated onto the driver. For 2014 the radiators have been moved and a fan even comes on to direct the heat away from the rider under speeds of 5 mph. Also for 2014, the vehicle stability system has been vastly improved to help keep it more upright in corners. The RT Limited has all the bells and whistles to make your ride very enjoyable. This is a very stable and enjoyable bike. It's a great bike for trips with plenty of storage (42 Gal).
This Can Am is a marriage of sports car technology and motorcycle. North American made (Can Am = Canadian/American). Liquid cooled, aspirated 1300cc Rotax three cycle engine famous for reliability. This bike has no clutch and is a 6 spd semi-automatic transmission with paddle shifters and reverse! Some of the many options are cruise control, rider and passenger heated hand grips and heat controls, rider and passenger stereo controls, 4 speaker surround, on the fly adjustable air suspension, electric windshield, fog lights. All four storage trunks come with their own custom fitted suitcases. It also comes with an AM/FM/MP3 Bluetooth stereo and GPS. and optional driver's back rest that is removable., Fully enclosed rear cargo has 12v outlet and connections for an iPod or an MP3 player which can be controlled from the left handle bar grip switch controls (and passenger controls) and indicated on one of 5 dash LCD screens, including a trailer status screen. This Spyder is a tech marvel. Should a wheel ever start to lift when cornering too fast, it automatically reduces torque and puts the wheel back down making this extremely safe and stable. The old tried and true adage of "it's not if you ever go down but when" is no longer applicable. A Spyder eliminates every single drawback of a two wheeled motorcycle and also trikes with two wheels in the front and one in the back that won't fall over at a red light.
This is a truly exceptionally clean and nice Can Am. You must see to appreciate!
Thanks for looking!

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results
Fri, 01 Nov 2013Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.
Will The Bombardier Trailtrike Make Trikes Cool?
Thu, 11 Jul 2013Charles Bombardier, creator of the highly controversial Can-Am Spyder and grandson of the man who invented the snowmobile, thinks he has an idea to make trikes cool. It’s a tall order, considering most motorcycling circles banish three-wheelers as some kind of second class device, not worthy of mingling with true two wheelers. While Bombardier’s Trailtrike still has two wheels in front and one in back, he tells Popular Science the difference is that the Trailtrike can be ridden both on- and off-road.
