BSA Lightning description

Spectacular restoration of a 1966 BSA Lightning 650.

This comes out of a private collection and was formerly owned and ridden by a famous musician-singer-songwriter…..name to be known to the buyer of this bike.

Out of respect and privacy, the name of this person will not be released in this description.

The bike has been meticulously cared for, maintained and stored inside.

The bike looks and runs like new.

The pictures tell it all and you will not find a nicer ’66 BSA Lightning out there.

The bike comes with a clear title, which is signed by and still in the musicians name.

PLEASE NOTE -
The bike can be seen on request.
Additional photos are available on request.
For sight unseen sales we strongly encourage buyers to have a representative come and inspect the bike before purchase.
All freight shipments must be arranged by the buyer.  We will facilitate on this end.
All sales are final.

Tue, 04 Jun 2013

The 1967 BSA Royal Star 650 has a special place in the heart of the Piano Man, Billy Joel — it was the first motorcycle he ever had. As time went on and Joel’s career blossomed, the love for motorcycles only grew. In fact, Joel even has his own motorcycle shop.

The Steve McQueen Desert Racer

Tue, 24 Mar 2009

There are few motorcycle icons within pop culture that have endured as vividly as that of the late, great Steve McQueen. A man who was at one time the highest paid actor in Hollywood, he avoided the limelight in favor of immersing himself within his passion for motorcycles. Never afraid of getting dirty, McQueen was at his happiest flogging a bike around the track with fellow racers or tinkering with the machines himself.
