BMW R-Series description

Here is a well used example of a very desirable Airhead. The mono shock, single sided swing arm RS is quite a different animal that than the dual shock airheads. This particular example has 117K miles and is still running strong. Everything works and the clock keeps perfect time. Tires and brakes are in good shape, wheels straight and true and all mechanical systems function 100%.  The gas tank was repainted by the previous owner at 100K miles and it is very nicely done. There are some nicks and faded spots on the body here and there but the pearl white looks good everywhere. Minor rust and pitting on some components and fasteners and it shows all the wear and tear that 117,000 miles would bring. Proudly. No need to apologize for any aspect of this motorcycle's condition. This bike is turnkey and will continue to be for a long time.

The saddlebags function perfectly and this bike is equipped with a Progressive shock. It starts easily, idles smoothly and pulls strongly. It does leave a small oil drip under each head after sitting for a week. Push rod seals, valves and other maintenance on this bike is easy and all Airhead owners know the ins and outs of these bikes. This is a nice motorcycle that will provide many years of use and look handsome doing it.  Sold with original toolkit and three keys including the original, folding ignition key.

Delivery available anywhere in ME, VT, CT, NH, MA, upstate NY or NYC for $1.50 per mile one way.

Or I would gladly pick up the buyer at LaGuardia, JFK or Islip for a Fly and Ride. This bike can be a daily rider, cross country tourer or an addition to a collection. Please call/txt 6316556808 or email me at yahbomoto@gmail.com with any questions. I would be glad to show the bike locally on eastern Long Island and I would welcome anyone interested parties from NYC to take the train out and ride it back.

WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.

Globetrotting Vespa Takes Final 800-Mile Journey to Piaggio Foundation Museum – Video

Thu, 24 May 2012

When you think of making a round-the-world motorcycle tour, you usually think of an adventure touring bike like the BMW R1200GS à la Ewen McGregor and Charley Boorman in “Long Way Round“. Sean Jordan, a Canadian expatriate living in Budapest, Hungary, had a different steed in mind: a Vespa P200E scooter. On Dec.
