BMW R-Series description

 Up for sale we have a rear harder to find 2004 BMW R1200C Montauk.  We are a BMW motorcycle dealership & we acquired this motorcycle in trade recently from a store client of ours.  The features on this BMW include heated grips, and ABS Brakes.  This 1200cc BMW motorcycle is in very good condition both mechanically & cosmetically.  There is some pitting visible on the front fender & some rust on the edge of the gas cap (see close up images).  There is also some minor scratches visible throughout the motorcycle, and the left rear turn signal has been repaired.  Otherwise, there is only normal wear on the hand grips & rest of motorcycle. BMW Quitting WSBK After 2013 Season

BMW announced it will withdraw its factory support from the World Superbike Championship at the end of the 2013 season. According to BMW, the company will concentrate on its production models including the addition of new small-displacement models and reaching developing markets. BMW Motorrad will also shift resources to other motorsports activities such as supporting customer racing efforts in both international and domestic competitions.

2015 BMW K1600GT and K1600GTL Get Traction Control as Standard Equipment

BMW is updating its big six-cylinder touring bikes with traction control as standard equipment and a number of new optional add-ons including keyless remote ignition. Previously available as part of BMW’s factory-installed Safety Package option, the Dynamic Traction Control system will now be standard on all 2015 K1600GT and K1600GTL models. The system continuously monitors rear wheel traction during acceleration, stepping in when it senses excessive wheel spin.
