BMW R-Series tech info
BMW R-Series description
R1100S. Non-ABS. Gentleman's sport bike. Two improvements for long-distance riding: lowered the pegs, and raised the bars (both with high quality aftermarket kits). Other than that it's unadulterated, just as it came from BMW. A few nicks here and there (in the photos), but in great condition for a 17 year old bike. Still turns heads. This is my third bike, I have owned it since around 2002, and just don't have room for it anymore. It will make someone very happy. Vehicle is also for sale locally. $3K for this comfortable adult sport touring bike is an amazing deal. If you buy it now, I will include factory hard bags and a tank bag.
Please pick it up locally, or arrange shipping (and I can help get it to them). |

Tue, 28 Jan 2014If you’ve been considering a new BMW motorcycle this year, then you must be eagerly awaiting the German manufacturer to release its 2014 prices. Now that your Christmas bills are paid off (at least, you would hope), you can start budgeting for your new Beemer, now that BMW Motorrad USA has released pricing information for the five newest models to its lineup, the R nineT, S1000R, R1200GS Adventure, K1600GTL Exclusive and R1200RT. Perhaps the most welcome news is the R nineT’s pricing at $14,900, making it just $800 more expensive than the R1200R‘s $14,100 price tag.

Hi-Def video of BMW S1000RR on the dyno
Mon, 15 Mar 2010THERE'S SOMETHING rather cruel about ringing the nuts out of any bike on a dyno - a bit like poking a lion through the bars of a cage with a long stick... Anyway, not quite sure where I'm going with that one, so here's a rather lovely clip of BMW's much-lauded S1000RR getting a stationary pasting on a dyno. Not sure I'd be standing at the rear, mind you.
