BMW R-Series description

Up for auction is my 1998 R1100R. This bike is in excellent condition with very, very low miles at 8856. Bike has a clear Georgia Title and is currently tagged and registered in GA.
I bought this bike with the intention of taking some long cruises (this is an excellent motorcycle for that) and it just never materialized. So, my loss is your gain.
Bike has Hard Shell Saddle Bags, Owners Manual, Shop Manual, and BMW Windshield.
Has just had a complete service done by BMW Dealer.
The notorious leaking master brake cylinder has been replaced with a new, hardened master cylinder.
The bike has never been down. It does have two small dings in the gas tank as pictured and some scratches on the right side cylinder cover.
It runs great and is a lot of fun to ride.
let me know any questions you have and happy bidding.

New: Revit off track textile jacket

Mon, 01 Dec 2008

Although the one pictured doesn’t look that worn it’s a recent replacement for the one I’ve been using ever since I passed my test two years ago. The previous incarnation met its fate in Africa at the hands of a knobbly tyre and chain. It has been in constant use this summer.

Bridgestone BT-023 tyre tested

Fri, 19 Mar 2010

Replacing the BT-021, the 023 has a uniform carcass construction but has two different compounds of rubber to alter its performance. The inner rubber is harder for increased life while the rubber on the tyre’s edges is softer for outright grip. On the brief dry sections of our ride the 023 seemed to get up to working temperature rapidly and delivered good dry grip, certainly more than enough for most road riders if you are honest about your riding ability.
