Letting go of an old friend 1995 BMW R/100-RT Classic. The last year of the airhead breed for BMW. I am the only owner of this Arctic Grey and Graphite touring bike. 17,900 original miles...matching BMW faring, lowers, crash bars, snap-off saddle bags and trip trunk, heated hand-grips, new tires and battery. Voltmeter, clock, hazard flashers, twin front disks, stock original tool roll and owners manual. Bike is in great running shape with only a couple tiny dings in paint on one side. This one was garaged all winter while the Lexus sat out in the weather. Call me before the snow comes. T I'll include a helmet, covers, rain suit (men's size large) riding gloves. Chris Vermeulen to Replace Colin Edwards at Le Mans
Wed, 09 May 2012NGM Forward Racing has named veteran MotoGP racer Chris Vermeulen the substitute rider for the injured Colin Edwards at the May 20 French Grand Prix at Le Mans. Vermeulen will ride the team’s BMW-powered Suter Claiming Rule machine. Vermeulen raced four full seasons in MotoGP from 2006-2009, all with the Rizla Suzuki team.
2012-2013 BMW S1000RR Side Stand Recall Expands to US
Fri, 28 Dec 2012Earlier this month, we reported a recall issued by Transport Canada for the 2012 and 2013 BMW S1000RR because of a problem with their side stands. That recall has now expanded to the U.S., affecting 2,385 units. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the side stand attachment bolts on the affect BMW S1000RR units can loosen because of a manufacturing fault.
