BMW R-Series description

Selling one very clean 1992 BMW R100R BMW with factory hard luggage, and 8600 original miles.  As you can see from the pictures, this is a very clean bike that is in exemplary condition, runs and rides like new and comes with original owners manuals and spare key.  Same owner for the last 16 years since 1400 miles.

Light cosmetic blemishes, please examine pictures.  It does leak a small amount of oil, I believe from the pushrod tube seals.  This is a 26 years old bike.  Left tank badge is peeling a little bit, and there are some small scuffs under the valve covers, but overall this is a very nice bike.

To be paid within 7 days of purchase, buyer reponsible for shipping costs, but we are happy to assist in any way possible.  Sold as is.  Please call us at 503-805-2684 if you have any other questions.  Sold by Motorcycle Warehouse, Inc. DA2703  Located in Portland, Oregon.

2014 BMW R1200RT Spied Testing

Thu, 21 Mar 2013

With the new 2013 BMW R1200GS now launching worldwide, it really should be no surprise BMW is working on more models using the GS’s new liquid-cooled boxer engine. A contributor to French site MotoMag happened upon a crew of test riders on heavily camouflaged test mules of what appears to be the 2014 BMW R1200RT. The swirly camo pattern does little to hide the new “precision cooling” liquid-cooled engine, easily identified by the pipes exiting from the bottom of the cylinders.

BMW Announces Recall Campaign for K1600 Family Motorcycles

Fri, 25 Feb 2022

The recall concerns all 2019-2020 BMW K1600 models due to the risk of rear suspension link failure caused by a manufacturing defect - the strength of the part does not meet the factory requirements. This linkage may be destroyed during normal road use, causing the rear of the motorcycle to fall onto the rear wheel. BMW dealers this spring will begin notifying owners of motorcycles that are subject of the recall campaign to visit an authorized dealership for a rear suspension linkage replacement.
