This "barn find" bike was originally an R80RT but the fairing and everything was too rough to waste time repairing. I cleaned this bike up, everything is running fine and I ride it to work most every day. I have too many other bike projects to keep this bike.
This will make a great base bike for someone wanting a Cafe Racer or dual sport. Good luck! Some of the pics don't have turn signals but they are all on and working now. |

The film follows a character called Sanders who rides a 1960 BMW R60/2 across Arizona, Utah and Montana. With help of fellow traveler and sage, Northway, and a variety of other colorful characters along the way, Sanders gets learns the way of the road and the zen of the bar. The Best Bar in America is scheduled for release on DVD and iTunes this Spring. EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW R1200RT Revealed
Tue, 05 Nov 2013We confess, the BMW R1200RT was a glaring omission from our list of top 10 motorcycles to watch at EICMA. There are so many new bikes coming out at the 2013 EICMA show, it was hard enough to narrow it down to just 10, but that doesn’t excuse us forgetting BMW is adding another model powered by the new R1200GS‘ liquid-cooled boxer engine. Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage The peak numbers for the R1200RT are the same as with the GS, with BMW claiming 125 hp at 7700 rpm and 92.2 ft-lb at 6500 rpm.
