BMW R-Series description

I am selling my 1978 BMW R80/7 motorcycle because I don't have time to ride as much as I want to

I bought this bike approximately two and a half years ago from its original owner and brought it back to life. There were never any major issues with it, he had just run out of time to use it.

Since purchasing it I have cleaned it up quite well and it starts right up and runs great.  Could use some fine tuning but it started right up after being stored in my garage all winter.

-Fresh oil & plugs
-new petcocks
-new battery
-Tank and fenders have been cleaned of all debris and repainted

29,900 miles

Overall it's in great shape considering its a 38 year old bike.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or additional pictures but I would love to pass this on to another enthusiast.

Clean title in hand!

Aprilia Takes a Shot at BMW [video]

Tue, 22 Jun 2010

The very successful viral video BMW created for its S1000RR sportbike earlier this year has yet again been made fun of by another manufacturer, this time being Aprilia with their RSV4.  Now I am sure its not going to get the same amount of attention as the BMW spot but I love a good cat fight, hopefully BMW will respond…  stay tuned. WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
