BMW R-Series description

R60/2 1965 BMW 39,200 miles all matching numbers— for sale is my exceptional and original R60/2, this motorcycle is an absolute joy to ride as it runs flawlessly. I purchased the R60/2 in 2011 from an older gentlemen in Pennsylvania who only rode it in parades, he maintained it mechanically and always keeping it garaged.

the engine is strong and has been meticulously maintained with regular engine oil changes, transmission, and final drive. it has always been garaged and never sat with a spec of dirt on it, nor ridden in a rainstorm. always ran ethanol free gasoline, and interior of gas tank coating is in perfect condition. every light bulb works and the headlight bucket was rewired to function as it did new, with the hi/low beam and flasher switch on the left, and bar end turn signal and horn switch on the right. the bike appears to have been repainted at some point, the paint is perfect and the pinstripe on the tank and fenders is top notch.

it features many period correct accessories;
low euro handlebars with new grips rear denfield seat to match drivers denfield solo seat
hella eyebrow headlight trim (EXTREMELY RARE NOS)
hella bar end turn signals with original lenses
 included with the motorcycle is a box of parts containing every single seal for the engine (to get to the slingers)

 although it looks like it, this is not a museum motorcycle, it has been one i put about 200-500 miles on per summer and enjoy the feeling of how romantic anything from this era was. it truly can transport you back to a time with engineering was done by hand and plastic wasn't the primary building material. it has been fantastic to own and I regret selling, however I didn’t ride it this summer and want to free up the cash to purchase a new toy.
