BMW K-Series description

2012 K1300S with 5667 miles (still on the road so may increase).  175HP, ABS, Traction control, clutchless up-shift kit, factory expandable hard bags, standard BMW heated grips.  Built to be ridden fast and far.  New tires, battery, front and rear brakes less than 200 miles ago.  I had a little mishap in the driveway, and the bike fell out from under me and slid.  I have provided pics of the left side where some of the paint rubbed off.  It is less noticeable in person.  This has never been down at speed.  Normal scratches on the back of the tank from riding, otherwise in good shape.  One owner bike.

If you have not ridden one of these, think rocket with the ergonomics to ride all day.  Sport touring with the emphasis very heavily on the sport side.  I went from Philly to bridgeport CT and back in one day, 350 miles total, without feeling like I was dying.  Despite the 175HP and 11k redline, this is really manageable at neighborhood speeds, and has plenty of torque for when you don't feel like revving it all the way up.  Has front swing arm and shaft drive, which make it different from your average Hayabusa or zx14 (and it doesn't hurt to drive like those two if you're over 5'5).

Vin number provided on request.

V.I.P treatment for first Dainese D-Air customers

Fri, 08 Jul 2011

To celebrate the release of the D-Air race suit in the UK, Dainese are offering the first 20 customers to order a complete V.I.P treatment at the upcoming World Superbike round at Silverstone. The iconic safety brand will have each of the customer's suits personally tailored, with measurements undertaken by a Dainese D-Air engineer from the factory in Italy. Following this, the first 20 customers to register will receive a hospitality lunch, garage tours of the Aprilia, BMW and Kawasaki teams with the opportunity to meet the Dainese riders and rub well protected shoulders with the big names of the WSB paddock.

The future of law enforcement?

Mon, 12 Jul 2010

THANKFULLY you're not looking at latest addition to the US Police force's motorcycle fleet - it's the futuristic machine that featured in the 2009 movie "Star Trek" .It's being prepped before being suspended mid-air in the "Born to be Wild: Vintage and Celebrity Motorcycles" exhibition in the Reagan Library's Air Force One Pavilion in Simi Valley, California. Looks a bit like a BMW R1200S, don't you think?
