BMW K-Series description

2006 BMW K1200R.  Very good sport touring bike with all the comfort, handling, style, and speed you'll need... not to mention the BMW tradition of reliable engineering and superior quality.  This bike comes with ABS, ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment ) heated grips, maintenance-free shaft drive, and the most powerful engine BMW made at the time.  The inline 4 makes 163 horsepower with 94 pound feet of torque, in a 465 pound bike.  It additionally comes with an expensive carbon fiber full belly pan that complements the look and purpose of the bike.  All recall work has been done at our local BMW dealer.  The bike's only flaw is the left mirror had vibrated off, and has been replaced with a convex mirror in the original stalk.

The bike is listed locally and this auction may be closed if sold.

But now more than ever, thanks to the introduction of liquid-cooling, the GS is a modern marvel of mechanical and electrical engineering.

WSBK: 2012 Phillip Island Results – Video

Mon, 27 Feb 2012

Max Biaggi won the opening race to the 2012 World Superbike Championship while defending champion Carlos Checa came back from a high-speed crash in the first race to win the second at Australia’s Phillip Island circuit. Reigning champion Checa of Althea Ducati had a stunning high-side crash while leading on the sixth lap of Race One. The WSBK paddock was already in shock with the death of 17-year-old Oscar McIntyre in the Superstock 600 race the day before but thankfully Checa was not seriously injured.
