BMW K-Series description

Clean 1994 BMW K75 standard.
About 28k miles on it, I believe I'm the third owner.  Previous owner kept it in pretty immaculate shape with extensive maintenance records.

Tires are less about 2 years old, less than 1000 miles on them.  Bike is covered and on a tender over winter.

Bike got about 1300 dollars worth of work at the end of June this year including new spark plugs, air filter, all fluids replaced, clutch adjustment, and some replacement gaskets.  I have the paperwork.

Mechanic said bike was in excellent condition, starts and runs solid.

I've got all the purple/yellow bags (two pannier bags and a tank bag) and the stock two-person seat with mounting hardware.  From looking at the hardware, it seems like some of it must be missing, though I never attempted to put it on.  I've also got the battery tender, clymers guide, owners manual and the original BMW toolkit that comes with the bike.

cons:  bike got bumped while parked and the paint is rippled a bit on the front fender (see pic).  Mounting pin broke off of side plastic so I drilled a hole and zip-tied it on.  rear brake is a bit squeaky.

I've got some gear

Message me any questions.

2011-2013 BMW F800GS and F700GS Recalled in Canada

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2011-2013 BMW F800GS and the 2013 F700GS because of a problem with the kickstand ignition cut-off switch. The switch is designed to turn off the engine when the stand is down and the motorcycle is shifted into gear; this prevents the motorcycle from being ridden with the kickstand deployed. On certain BMW F800GS and F700GS models however, the cut-off switch can loosen and become damaged.

2013 BMW C600 Sport Fairing Recall Extended to US

Mon, 10 Dec 2012

Last week, Transport Canada issued a recall on the 2013 BMW C600 Sport due to a risk of the scooter’s side fairings coming loose at high speeds. The recall has now reached the U.S., with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also announcing a recall. According to documents released by NHTSA, the three “snap-lock” fasteners securing the left and right side trim panels may not have sufficient strength to hold the fairing in place at speeds higher than 100 mph.
