BMW K-Series description
- Here's a 1987 BMW K100 with a custom sidecar built by Claude Stanley of Freedom Sidecars. The bike is heavily reinforced with a sub frame to manage the stress of sidecar work. The front end is leading link with dual disc brakes. The sidecar wheel has a disc brake and is actuated by the rear brake on the bike. all tire are tubeless automotive, and available anywhere. The PO installed a bicycle speedo that's dead accurate, the original speedo works but is off due to the change in tire size. Face of speedo is cracked, the way I bought it. The odometer doesn't work. Tach works, clock works, all lights and horn work. The car is a dual purpose unit. It serves as a cargo box, but has a folding seat and a removable windshield that can be used to carry a passenger. The machine has a an electric reverse that isn't hooked up but all that's needed is a toggle switch to get it back in use. The red fuel cell on the back holds two gallons of fuel, nice to have if you're in a remote area. Included is a spare Mass air unit, and a spare instrument cover. The machine runs great will take one anywhere they desire with plenty of power with the smooth K 100 motor. The machine is a rider and has road chips, some rust but mechanically perfect. I just had the machine gone through a full service. All fluids are fresh, all filters renewed. I've owned the machine for five years and put about 5 K on it in that time. I was at the New England Moto Guzzi / Three wheeler rally in Bondsville, MA this September and the machine drew lots of attention. The machine is stored in Shippensburg, PA. If you're looking at this machine you probably know what it's all about, but if not and have questions just ask. Shipping arranged by and paid for by winning bidder.

While some moto publications are cutting back and constricting, Motorcycle.com is proud to announce the addition of a new editor to our masthead. MO readers, meet Jon Langston, our new Associate Editor. I knew Langston was a cool cat when I first met him at the Harley-Davidson Blackline unveiling in January 2011.

BMW has announced a new Adventure version of the F800GS, providing a more off-road-oriented version of the middleweight dual-sport. BMW has offered an Adventure version of the R1200GS for a while now but this is the first time BMW has done the same for one of its smaller GS models. Like the base F800GS, the Adventure version is powered by a liquid-cooled 798cc four-valve parallel-twin engine.

An hour and a half in my shed was all it took to bolt two boxes of goodies from R&G Racing on to my S1000RR. The casing covers (£190.00), cotton reels (£25.49 ), frame inserts(£21.00) and crash protectors (£67.99)are a doddle to bolt on and come with all the necessary allen bolts. The multi adjustable rearsets (£350.00) are equally as easy to fit (they must be if I can do it) and also come with clear instructions.
