Aprilia SXV description

ATTENTION: NOT FOR STREET USE - RACE BIKE
(You may be able to register in your state but that is for you to do the research)

Up for sale former factory race bike and RARE Aprilia VDB 450 1 of 2 bikes used and ridden by Ben Carlson himself in 2007 AMA Supermoto season.  According to their chief mechanic Amauri, Darryl Atkins and Carlson each had 2 bikes and swapped several motors at the time in order to race in both Supermoto Premier (450cc) and Supermoto Unlimited (550cc) classes. At the end of the season 2007, all motorcycles were sold by then Team owner and racer Darryl Atkins in order to make space for the 2008 season.

The only flaw the VDB 450 had was that it was too light for the class and was required to add weight to race.

Because the vehicle is a former race bike, it will be sold only with a "Bill of Sale" and documentations showing how bike was acquired to show paper trail.

Please google for more information and also read in apriliaforum for more details.

You will note that within the few available world wide, most are "Replica" units sold to former racers that have been converted for racing.

Bike has a Full Silmoto underseat exhaust, Alpina 16.5" front  & 17" rear, Beringer Brake Rotor & Caliper front, etc.

EICMA 2008: First Impressions

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

I have had a little walk around checking out the preparations for the show. I haven’t seen anything that I haven’t already seen or heard about previously, but here’s a selection from three of the halls. Yamaha are the only manufacturer to use an industrial crane to place some of its bikes up on high rise stands.
